Jeff, Gail, Chris, Matt, Daz and Koorosh came together 2 years ago to form the band “Big Red Boat”. With a blend of folk, rock and blues and a strong 70’s feel, their self penned songs and friendly approach has been winning them applause from across the region and way beyond. More than 50 percent of their MySpace hits coming from America and Europe.

“Big Red Boat” music uses strong and steady acoustic guitar rhythms, floated on a sea of mood giving bass lines, elevated in emotion by memorable and haunting guitar leads. All this running hand in hand with strong vocal harmonies linked with thought provoking and life influenced lyrics.

“Big Red Boat” have been playing at such events as Halesworths Gig in the Park, Lowestofts K.Fest Lockstock and the Reedham Riverside Beer Festival.  As well as venues such as the Norwich Arts Centre Bungays Fisher Theatre and the Ipswich Corn Exchange as well as helping to raise money for charities such as Big C, Macmillan Nurses,  Age Concern and the Parkinson’s Project.

“Big Red Boat” self titled debut album was released in the spring of 2009 and the band are currently writing new material for their second album due to be released some time in the summer 2010. With the gig list filling up nicely for 2010 this audience friendly band are looking forward and further afield to what promises to be a good year ahead.
